Plane crash kills twelve aboard United Air Lines mail flight
An eastbound United Air Lines mail plane crashed near Cheyenne killing twelve on board including pilot H A Collison and co pilot Harol Batty. Nine passengers and stewardess Leona Mason are among the dead. The Oakland to New York flight left at 6 25 P M Sunday carrying mail. The plane struck hilltops and nose dived after losing a propeller and engine, with no fire reported.
