Hijackers Take $146 at Grocery Robbery Report
Two young men robbed a grocery store at 2:30 pm taking cash after one demanded money at the counter and both fled. The cashier Miss Imogene Judd described the gunman as about 23, 5 feet 8, 150 pounds, wearing a light suit and hat. A second robber was taller and bareheaded. A separate fruit market robbery yielded $100 and police recovered a blue 1939 Studebaker linked to the suspects.
