A California couple reports losing both driver's licenses in a stained wrapper and offer a reward. The owners, MR and MRS MARTINCEVIC of Bungalow Courts, say the licenses are invaluable for their return trip to Los Angeles.
Chester Nichols dog warden of Evanston Illinois urges residents to have pets noseprinted as a identification system. The process uses a glass plate with a roller pressed to the dog's nose then onto a card to record unique prints.
Patrick Donnelly was taken from a Tenth Avenue cafe last night and charged with burglary. Three other youths fled during the arrest. Several items were taken from the cafe and a nearby fruit stand was burglarized for about $4. Bond was set at $1,500 by Justice of the Peace Duke.

Marcellus Pearson held Cincinnati to two singles as the New York Yankees clinched a 4-0 victory at Yankee Stadium. Reds hitters Werber and Lombardi provided the only notable early threats, but Pearson’s pitching, supported by solid defense, secured the shutout and a second straight win for New York.
Among birds that can be taught to talk are the piping crows of Australia the mynah parrot some species of jays macaws and even starlings.
Three hits by Myers and McCormick powered a game with no runs and no errors. DiMaggio preserved the shutout with a running catch more than 400 feet from the plate.
