Eight More School Buildings by 1952 for Amarillo
Amarillo is forecast to need eight more school buildings by 1952 if the present birth rate holds, in addition to two million dollars' worth of planned construction. George M. Waddill of the ISD notes the growth could require even more schools as the 1947 birth rate rose to about 2,000 first graders expected in 1952.
