LifeGuard tire system offers safety through dual-tire design
The LifeGuard tire combines an inner and outer tire linked at the sidewall, with a vented outer layer designed to vent air and keep the inner tire inflated. In a failure the outer tire vents first while the inner tire retains some pressure, enabling a controlled stop.
