Amarillo Church Loot by Local Yeggs Strikes Again
Amarillo suffers a second church burglary in just over two weeks. The thieves ransacked an office on the second floor, cracked a safe, and damaged the organ loft while stealing pennies from children’s purses and a typewriter. They entered via a third floor window, escaped through the same route, and left behind a screwdriver and a cloth. Damage runs to at least several hundred dollars with organ damage possibly irreparable. Police tie this to a similar Polk Street Methodist heist and suspect Dallas yeggs.
