Auto Train Crash Fatal to Driver
John W. Roberson a 32 year old Gulf Refining Company warehouseman was killed in Fort Worth when struck by a northbound Southern Pacific freight train as he drove to work. He was thrown from the car and impaled on a switch stand. He died shortly after being extricated and taken to a hospital. The crash derailed the locomotive tender and knocked a boxcar off its tracks. His car was demolished against a signal post.
