Shanghai dispatch says the American patrol vessel 134 was fired on by shore small arms a eight miles above Kichau while in a Yangtze convoy from Hankow. The ship returned fire with 20 millimeter cannon and there were no casualties amid ongoing China policy discussions with Chiang Kai-shek.

A massive earthquake centered near the Gulf of Oman was felt across India and beyond on November 28.
