Counsel for Gov Charles R Forbes and contractor John W Thompson will continue tomorrow outlining the defense to be offered in their trial on charges of defrauding the government in veterans bureau hospital contracts in 1922. Forbes attorney Col James S Dasby-Smith said three indictments may be suspect and testified that one contract was directed by high military officers. The prosecution says Forbes Thompson and three others planned to divide over 1 000 000 of the 17 000 000 authorized by Congress for hospital construction.
