Experiment Compresses Trout Across Stream For Cooling

Ed Friedrich and R. H. Friedrich start an experiment to refrigerate a stream to carry 7,000 rainbow trout from Amarillo to San Antonio. The cooling plant will not run until April as the current water is already cold. Horace Frantz of Salida Colorado supplies the fish and plans to move them this week. The project may be a publicity stunt by a refrigerator maker incorporated for half a century. Baltimore Man Held on Mail Fraud Charge

Van Channell is being held by federal officers on a mail fraud charge filed in Baltimore Maryland. He was picked up at Panhandle by Sheriff Tom Harris and turned over to Deputy U S Marshal Bill Lampe. He will be sent to Baltimore as transfer orders arrive.

Three Die in Nobel Powder Plant Tank Blast
