Charges Filed in Shooting at Night Club

Louis Lucas of Panhandle is charged with assault with intent to murder after a shot fired across the street entered the night club window on the Dallas Highway near the KGNC transmitter. Lucas is jailed awaiting the November 24 grand jury action. Ray Forrentine and Bob Johnson were near the window. the taxi driver says Lucas forced him to drive back to town before firing. Four Injured in Head-On Collision Near Amarillo

A head-on crash near the Canadian River bridge north of Amarillo left four people injured, including Ralph E. Young and his wife and two young children of Shreveport. Grover C. Kincheloe sentence affirmed by appeals court

The Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin affirmed a 10 year sentence for John Kincheloe of Dalhart in 47th District Court following a 1942 murder charge connected to the Christmas slaying of his son Clark Kinchel Joe. His prior six year sentence was overturned on appeal.
