Farmers Receive Partial Wheat Payments From Texas Association

Texas Wheat Growers' association mails $75,000 in payments to members for part of this year's wheat deliveries. Judge L. Gough, the president, notes checks bring the rate to 85 cents a bushel for No 1 wheat. Two additional payments are planned later.

Austin Tex Nov 15 The state railroad commission was informed by the Interstate Commerce Commission that oral argument and proposed readjustment of cotton seed rates between Oklahoma and Texas will be postponed until December 16. Change of carload rates sought.

County Moves To Buy Tri State Fair Park

Amarillo Tri State fair representatives met Potter County Commissioners as court ordered one month bid ads for the fair park. The move follows voters approval in the November 4 election. Lattie Hurt After Fall From Loaded Wagon

Lattie living two miles east of the city sustained a serious fall from a bundle feed wagon on the North highway. He was found unconscious by C. E. Moore and W. P. Sullivan and taken to the city hospital with a dislocated and broken left arm and a severe head wound. A broken line is thought to have caused the accident.

Chief shoots his daughter in accidental shooting

Claremore Oklahoma reports Verna Russell aged 16, daughter of Police Chief W. D. Russell, was critically wounded when her father fired after mistaking her for a burglar as she entered the back door after a party. She died that afternoon after a 2:30 bulletin.

Dooleys Entertain Rotary Club With Musical Numbers

The Rotary club meets for a regular session featuring a program by Mr and Mrs Jack Dooley. Announcements and business fill the hour as Tony Cotten joins workers to arrange a special train for the Amarillo Vernon game in Vernon Monday. Tonight marks the second Rotary school night with Ross Phillips Jeff Blackburn and Col Bri O Thompson to be the instructors. A ladies night program is planned for Friday night November 21.

Oscar QO Fundenburg obtained judgment against Robert Verdun and others to clear title to Lot 1 Block 1 Sandborn addition. Lee Sadler won against B P Prater for 986.20 dollars plus interest and costs. both judgments secured by Pearson and Manning.

Polk, manager of the expert department for a Fort Worth money manufacturer, died in his automobile near Nolaneville, Texas, today as a motorist saw him collapse while en route toward Killeen.
