Tonight and Saturday will be fair with a dip in temperatures. The low tonight around 28 degrees and tomorrow morning will be cooler. Hourly readings today show a gradual rise from 54 at 7 am to 50 by noon, with highs in the upper 40s to 50s.

Amarillo Armistice Day Parade Largest In West Texas

All Amarillo and vicinity join a massive Armistice day celebration led by Hanson Post and Major Boyce. About 4,000 participants and 25,000 spectators filled the route for a parade lasting nearly 90 minutes. Schools from Amarillo and nearby communities contributed many children in hundreds of cars, with Wilson and Tyler leading entries.

Hansford Victory Seen As Court Grants Writ

The Texas Supreme Court granted a writ of error in the injunction suit over Hansford county seat removal, indicating a victory for Hansford citizens. Miners in the strike area observed Armistice Day in Sunday attire as parades unfolded in small towns. Peace officers enjoyed the quiet as optimism grew that the J W W walkout could end soon, backed by Colorado Fuel and Iron reporting 8011 tons of coal mined yesterday at its properties.

Pipe Shipped for Amarillo Denver Carrier Big Project Plan

Colorado Springs report says a natural gas pipeline from Amarillo Texas to Denver will begin December 11. Ford Bacon and Davis engineers will manage with 50 surveyors and the line funded by Standard Oil Indiana Public Service Chicago and Prairie Oil and Gas Texas. First pipe cars left Pittsburgh destined for Devine Colorado nine miles east of Pueblo.

Masked gunman slays two in cafe in Nev gang violence

In Springfield Nevada last night a masked shooter killed two men at a cafe while two others were wounded. Police believe the victims were from a rival bootlegging gang. The attackers fled in an automobile. Brothers Robert Aeillo 24 and Frank Aeillo 20 were killed. Vitto Lapacola 24 and Lee Meachum 26 were wounded seriously.

New Yorkers Cheer Ruth Elder and Capt Haldeman Return

The city welcomed aviators Ruth Elder and Captain George Haldeman returning from a non stop Paris flight attempt that ended with their rescue after crashing off the Azores. Thousands lined the route to cheer the endurance and courage of the two flyers.
