Tax reform not affecting 1945 earnings, IRS cautions
The 1945 tax return due March 15 remains under the old law. Final estimates and returns relate to 1945 income, not 1946. Forms prepared before the new act reflect 1944 rates and tables, so many will misread and expect lower rates in March.

Thousand Hunters Buy Stamps Here
With duck season nearly a week old, about 1 000 hunters have purchased migratory bird stamps at the Amarillo post office. Postmaster W D DeGrassi said sales are on pace with the past two years, though historically about 2 000 stamps would be sold by this point. Under federal law, every hunter over 16 must buy the $1 stamp and write their name on the face to validate it and carry it while hunting.
