When Can I Get a New Car War Time Outlook
Amarillo Rotary publish an automotive column by Jesse A. Rogers explaining why new passenger cars are not soon available after Germany capitulation. He cites material shortages, wartime factory retooling, rubber and textile scarcities, and rationing likely into next year with limited dealer allotments. Light trucks may be plentiful, parts production rising, and no major model changes expected until civilian use resumes. Visiting guests in town include Mrs. Weisiger and Mrs. Morris.
