SALZBURG Austria May 27 Prince Ernst Von Starhemberg leader of Heimwehr declared a drastic reduction of private armies and announced elimination of members who joined after February 1 1934. The announcement marked his first practical move against armed volunteer groups within the pro government fatherland front.
Joseph Shipulo a 53 year old Brooklyn carriage maker was hospitalized after police found he had been sleeping beside his dead wife for two weeks. He reported he could not arouse her and was in distress when told she was dead. Police later uncovered $1620 in cash a bank book with deposits of 350 and several mortgages. The incident followed a report to a parish priest and medical evaluation.
