Rafferty Given Two Years In Car Theft Case
Edward Rafferty an 18 year old from New York City was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary for driving Dr W H Flamm's car from Amarillo to Vega before abandoning it. He pleaded not guilty claiming only a short trip was intended. Rafferty was arrested after returning to Amarillo by bus. He had been hitchhiking to California to visit his brother when he found the car at the Flamm home near the Country Club.
