Acesmen on ly to track and field meet

California's three major universities head east for the 64th Intercollegiate AAU track championships at Harvard Stadium. Southern California is favored to win, after defeating Stanford 841 1 2 to 4611 12 in a recent duel. Stanford is seen as the probable runner up, with Harvard, Penn, Cornell, and Yale expected to challenge for third place. The meet includes California, Michigan, and Michigan State as contenders, though not likely to threaten team honors. Last year, Stanford won with 453 8 points, while USC totaled 21 points for second. This year the east is expected to claim no more than three individual titles: the hammer throw, the half mile, and the two mile.
