Society Notes Highlight Bridge Party and Academy Events
A series of bridge games hosted by Mesdames Toney Chisum and J.R. Trolinger unfolded at the Chisum residence with high attendance and elegant refreshments. St Mary’s Academy staged the operetta An Abyssinian Princess, and graduation exercises were planned at the Fair theater with guests from nearby towns. Distinguished visitors include Aaron Stuart Whitten and wife, writers traveling through Clovis after researching Texas cotton history, with Whitten’s Norfleet book upcoming from Fort Worth publishers.
