Man's foot crushed by ditching machine at city street
R. J. Gruver an employee of Amarillo Gas suffered a badly mangled left foot at 4 30 yesterday when it was caught in the gears of a ditcher he was operating at Seventh and Madison streets. He was taken to Northwest Texas hospital where surgeons amputated part of the foot. Gruver lives several miles west of Amarillo.
