PAMPA Texas May 11 U P T A McIntyre and Roy Vest both of Tucumcari New Mexico must stand trial on murder charges in the death of Mrs Vest on April 26. They were indicted by the local grand jury. Mrs Vest died after an automobile crash when she left the vehicle they were riding in. Authorities say she was thrown from the car.

Ten Army Airplanes Land at City Field On Time
A telegram announced that 10 army planes from Crissy Field San Francisco would land at English Field at 10 30 AM for service. The formation landed on the turf and then left an hour and a quarter later for Wichita Kansas bound for Dayton Ohio for national air maneuvers. The 91st observation squadron was led by Maj Lawrence W McIntosh. Nine planes were Douglas Observation ships with Hornet engines, the tenth a Fokker Universal cargo ship. About 500 Amarilloans watched the colorful planes arrive and depart.

Tilton predicts postal deficit at year end
LAREDO Texas May 12 UP A postal deficit of about 140000000 at the close of the present fiscal year was predicted today by Assistant Postmaster General Tilton before the Texas postmasters convention. He said the deficit would exceed the prior year’s $93000000 loss and urged postal rate increases to restore finances. He cited the Franking System as part of the cause and warned the total is likely to grow unless action is taken.
