In a District Supreme Court session Gaston B. Means testified he knew who kidnapped the Lindbergh baby and what happened to the $50,000 ransom. He named two alleged underworld figures, “Irving Fenton” and “Wellington Henderson,” as the kidnappers and described a broader plot to kidnap Lindbergh and hold him for half a million dollars.
In Reno Oklahoma Ed Etheridge 40 shot and killed his daughter Berenice 12 and fatally wounded Elinor 13 before killing himself after pursuing the girls who had ridden with two boys. The boys Woody Renfro and Charley Clark were unharmed. Elinor died in hospital. The father blamed the outing for his rage.

Washington reports that President Roosevelt’s industrial planning and public works program will include about 220 million dollars in new federal taxes to fund a 3.8 billion dollar public works plan. A severe twister demolished farms and homes around Brownwood Texas injuring eight and killing three including Arthur Richardson 11 and Marjory Virgie Richardson 3. The Richardson home was hurled 60 yards and a nearby farm woman Mrs J W Arant died of injuries. Texas National Guard deployed after the storm struck with little warning.
Albert Bid ney Johnson a prominent retired cattleman in Dalhart died suddenly at his home Thursday at age 73. A resident since the town's founding in 1901 he will be buried after funeral services at Peoples Funeral Home Friday at 3 p m local time.
Russell Middleton a certified public accountant connected with All American Life Insurance Company and his brother Anthony traveled to Peoria Illinois to attend the funeral of their brother Clement Middleton age 50 formerly of Vernon who died Tuesday.
