Forty four men reported to Lubbock for U S Navy induction from Potter County Board Two. all but three are fathers. A large pre induction group went to Lubbock alongside the Navy prospects. Well-Known Educator Sutton to Speak at Senior High

City Commission Set To Consider Routine Business

The city commission will address routine items including a second reading and final passage for a July 14 special election on a city charter change to permit civil service for police and firemen. Bids on the water project will be opened and permission sought to advertise bids for 500 tons of rock asphalt. A public hearing is scheduled on rezoning 2200 North East Eighth Avenue from residential to commercial.

Ward Elects Vote on CIO at Montgomery Ward

About 5 000 Montgomery Ward employees were eligible to vote on forming a CIO union for collective bargaining in a NLRB supervised election. Balloting ran from 6 50 AM to 7 PM Central War Time with results to be announced tonight as federal seizure and court actions continue over plant operation and union representation. The House committee on seizure investigations was named by Speaker Rayburn with four Democrats and three Republicans to oversee the case.
