Forty four men reported to Lubbock for U S Navy induction from Potter County Board Two. all but three are fathers. A large pre induction group went to Lubbock alongside the Navy prospects. Names include DeLoyd Robertson, Alvis Flaiver, Melvin Robertson and many others. transfers from other boards joined the convoy.
Dr. Wallis A. Sutton former president of the National Education Association will address Amarillo audiences tonight at 8 pm in the Senior High School auditorium on Education and the People's Peace. He tours for the NEA and the American Association of School Administrators, stopping in Amarillo en route from El Paso to Denver.

About 5 000 Montgomery Ward employees were eligible to vote on forming a CIO union for collective bargaining in a NLRB supervised election. Balloting ran from 6 50 AM to 7 PM Central War Time with results to be announced tonight as federal seizure and court actions continue over plant operation and union representation. The House committee on seizure investigations was named by Speaker Rayburn with four Democrats and three Republicans to oversee the case.
Politics on page 1 continues with George Butler of Houston proposing to leave party regulation to the committee. The discussion comes after the Supreme Court refused to rehear a ruling allowing negroes to vote in Texas primaries. The court had held a man cannot be barred from selecting his rulers because of race.
Photographs of Amarillo women now in the WAC will be exhibited Thursday night in the Paramount Theater lobby. The display runs through May 17 National WAC Week. Friends may submit photos for the WAC roll of honor, with full details, to the Army recruiting station box 107 Amarillo.
