The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the death sentence for Marshall Ratliff in the December 23 1927 First National Bank of Cisco robbery murder case. Henry Helin’s death sentence for two policemen’s killings was affirmed earlier. Farmer and three daughters die in home fire near Akron
Lloyd Flitcraft a 36 year old farmer and his three daughters Mabel 6 Mildred 5 and Mary 4 were burned to death in their Akron Indiana home. Authorities believe a lantern exploded starting the blaze as the girls slept in an upstairs room. The father and mother saved two other children and an elderly relative but he perished on the stairway when the upper floor collapsed.

Plane flier found dead after fog wreck near Cheyenne
