The American Association of University Women held its annual covered dish supper Monday at Elizabeth Nixon Junior High School. Hostesses included Vallie Bryan Eunice Castleman Nettie Crain Ruth Driskill Sarah Miller Eva Patching, with Miss Nettie Crain elected chairman for the coming year. Special guest was former member Miss Mary E Evans. numerous members attended.
The American Legion Auxiliary held a Tuesday meeting at the Legion Hall to commemorate Music Week. Mrs. 1H. J. Wheeler read Mayor Lawrence Hagg's proclamation and introduced Julia Dean Evans, who brought the Four Hits and a Miss group for a musical program. Reports were given, a decision to send two girls to Girls Scout camp was approved, and three new members were introduced.
The executive board of the South Amarillo Garden Club will meet at 9:30 tomorrow morning in the home of Mrs. E. C. Allison at 3703 Harrison.
