Amarillo police arrested M. E. Akin last night on a charge connected to a shooting in Panhandle. Akin is held for Panhandle authorities after a scuffle and exchange of shots at an amusement parlor in Panhandle City on Tuesday night.
Erensio Shumaker, negro, has been arrested by police officials and transferred to the county on a charge of burglary. He is charged with breaking into the home of W. C. Goldin at 122 East Nineteenth Street on April 22.
Jess McGowan of Vega, critically injured Tuesday when dragged by a horse, is progressing well. Eldon Cline of Griggs Oklahoma, recovering from recent appendicitis surgery, stays with his sister at 823 B Alabama Avenue. Miss Gladys Andrews remains at St Anthony Hospital after operation.
