Bank of Hayward robbery in Enid Oklahoma May 3
C W Burton cashier was locked in the vault as a young man robbed the Bank of Hayward shortly after 11 a.m. about 300 dollars was taken. Burton escaped later and provided a tale to the Enid Eagle while still a prisoner. No witnesses saw the robber enter or exit and police had no direction of flight.
