Jail Breaker Seized After Gun Battle
A 26 year old man, T. P. Austin, who escaped Robertson County jail earlier this month, was recaptured after a gun battle with peace officers. He sustained a hand wound and had been held on burglary related charges. Sheriff Bob Reeves said Austin drew a pistol when asked to surrender.

Organize Credit Union Formed for City Employees
City employees will organize a credit union tonight at Municipal Auditorium with officers and directors to be named.
