In Llano County Texas guard Ivy Smith was released on $500 bond after being charged with murder in the death of inmate Ernest Williams during a riot at Central Prison Farm No 1. Ballistics confirmed the fatal bullet came from Smiths gun as 200 prisoners refused meals and tear gas was used.
