Columnist Brisbane and a world of stock market lore

The Globe notes Arthur Brisbane as a famed American writer whose opinions align with no single paper. It surveys Wall Street activity with 3,000,000 shares traded, General Motors soaring to a new high, and February profits for Southern Pacific. It mentions high priced stocks, a bear attack, and a Canada death penalty case, plus Rosenwald’s $5,000,000 Jewish relief gift, then shifts to a miscellany of quotes on civilization, Atlas, and violent crimes in Chicago, ending with Cambodia’s King Sisowneh’s death and Monivong’s torching of the golden urn.
