Unknown thief charged in Amarillo travel bureau case
A theft over 50 dollars charge was filed in district court against an unnamed person by two of four traveling companions stranded in Amarillo yesterday. The complainants, Anthony Valika and Abe Polansky of New York, said the four paid 30 dollars each for travel from Los Angeles to New York in a 1949 Mercury sedan, and their baggage was taken by the travel bureau driver who, with his wife, disappeared after dropping them near Third and Fillmore for car repairs.
