Trial of Cal Davis and Charlie Ball on bookmaking charges was postponed to 1:30 PM in 47th District Court. Davis runs Roosevelt Bar at 327 A Polk and Ball works Crown Recreation Club at 325 Polk. Offenses alleged for Sept 23 and 24, 1949. Jury excused as Ball was out of town and Davis counsel unavailable until afternoon.
