Fashion Luncheon Show Opens Spring Hemlines In Tune With Paris Hollywood And New York
The Philharmonic Music Club fashion revue at the Mexican Inn featured longer sea son hems from one to two inches with models from Marizon's. Irwin Bernstein noted fashion trends while Phil Phillips and his orchestra provided music. Several ladies modeled ranch day wear, play clothes, beach costumes and aqua two piece outfits. Afternoon dresses highlighted long torso lines bustle backs and cap sleeves with a navy red and green palette. Special acclaim went to a navy dress with a long peplum and buttoned back. The event closed with tea time frocks and a final parade of gabardine suits and a black net double flounce skirt outfit. The St Patrick Day program followed with Irish and Scottish songs and performances by Mrs Broadwell and others.
