In Arizona a new gold find is claimed by James B. Girand who showed ore samples in the Dripping Springs country about 130 miles east of Phoenix. The discovery is credited to Dan McGraw and samples reportedly assay at $100 000 a ton per the Phoenix assay office.
Pittsburgh March 16 Three sensational payroll holdups in this district including an armored car bombing last week when a bandit gang fled with 104000 were cleared up this afternoon. District Attorney Samuel H Hardner announced a confession by Joe Jaworski.

Mrs Marjorie Burner, 86, and her daughters Joyce 7 and Sylvia 2, vanished from 1302 North Fillmore in Amarillo last night. Dick Burner reported the case to police at 11 this morning, describing the trio as tall brunette mother wearing a brown fur collared coat and red hat and two blonde daughters, with the youngest chubby and Lisping. A bulletin with their photos was posted at police HQ and patrol units were alerted to locate them.
