Charles R. Cameron once American consul general in Tokyo arrived in New Orleans tonight aboard Pan American Clipper. He had spent the past three years in Panama after retiring from the State Department.
Local first class postage will rise to three cents and air mail to eight cents per half ounce. Rates for registered letters C O D mail and insurance will also increase with overseas service man air mail unaffected.
