Burl Cox a Lubbock graduate student is collecting sediment carried by the wind at different levels. RFC Approves $2,400,000 Graham Hoeme Loan
The Reconstruction Finance Corporation said it has approved a $2,400,000 loan to the Graham Hoeme Plow Co Inc of Amarillo. About $200,000 will fund taxes and incidental expenses while the rest covers working capital. The five year loan bears 4 percent interest. The company also makes stalk shredders and seed drills.

Negro Woman Is Charged in Slaying
Berthina Gardner, 21, of 201 North Washington, is charged with the fatal shooting of 54 year old Joseph Lee of the same address. Police say Lee was shot yesterday morning with a .38 caliber revolver. Gardner was arrested shortly after.

After a failed landing attempt at Cardiff on a Dublin charter, a huge airliner plummeted into a field near Liggingstone Liandow, killing eighty as seven died at the site and two more in hospital while twelve survived.
