Escaped Convict Caught in Dallas Pursuit
Theron Walters a 21 year old escaped Texas convict was captured near Dallas after a 20 mile mobile chase that zig zagged across country roads. Officers denied reports that Raymond Hamilton the death house fugitive had been in the area. Walters admitted he was mistaken for Hamilton at a Forney filling station and a Lancaster Station. He had been sent to the penitentiary from Van Zandt County in 1934 for car theft and escaped two months ago from Harlem prison farm.

Hill Asks Larger Soil Erosion Fund For Southern Plains
John E. Hill of Amarillo Texas and M W Krieger of Muskogee Oklahoma urged in Washington that the soil erosion service and the Agricultural Adjustment Administration authorize 750 000 to 1 050 000 dollars for emergency work in the southern high plains centered in the Texas panhandle.
