Bonus Action In House Advances Soldier Bonus Plan
Washington March 6 Action on soldier bonus legislation in this congress was assured today when the house Ways and Means committee voted to report out a bill compensating the veterans. The vote was 16 to 2 with Republicans Treadway Tilson and Mills opposing. The form of the bill will be decided later, four plans under review include a straight cash bonus, a straight paid up insurance ban, a cash bonus with insurance, and a four fold plan offering options of cash, certificates, training and farm property aid.
