Auto Mishaps Set New Low Record Here
Traffic accidents in Amarillo last month set a new low record with 16 reported to police in February. Five persons were injured, one seriously, in spills or crashes. Police say careful driving and enforcement of the brake testing ordinance are responsible for the reduction, as Elmer Green, radio announcer for the department, notes that average daily crashes dropped from about three or more a year ago.
