Crews search for 16 miners in Pocahontas coal mine blast
In Pocahontas Virginia rescue teams continued dives into the Boissevain mine after a Saturday explosion left 16 miners missing. Twenty two bodies were recovered, eight brought to the surface, and six identified including Ed Saunders. The mine operated by Pocahontas Coal Company is non gaseous and 50 men were at work when the blast occurred.
