Three Planes With 1S Men Take Air Today

Fifteen good will evangelists took off in three big planes for Clovis New Mexico to open the Trans Continental Air Transport flying field. Governor Dillon to lead ceremony. Two six place Travel Air cabin monoplanes from Texas Air Transport Flying Service each carried five and a Ryan Brougham carried five. The convoy wore Amarillo roses and a Miss Amarillo bouquet was dropped. Return flights planned for shortly after 7 tonight.

Woman bandit pockets $14,000 payroll in security firm holdup

A lone female robber held up W. L. Stalens cashier of the Security Benefit Association in Peoria Kansas, forcing A. J. Perlich of Kansas City to drive to the scene. The payroll, about $14,000, was taken as she fled. The alarm drew authorities to pursue the suspect.

Solons Face Two Big Jobs Before Closing

Hawks to Try for New Mark

In Los Angeles Captain Frank Hawks aimed to better his West to East cross country record after a 18 hour 10 minute flight from Roosevelt Field to Metropolitan Airport. He planned a return flight to New York within about 14 hours to complete the double transcontinental dash in 86 hours as previously outlined.
