Washington June 24 U P reports Secretary of War Henry L Stimson announcing total Army casualties for the war to date at 63958. Navy Marine Corps and Coast Guard casualties total 23346, grand total 87304. Breakdown includes 7582 killed, 17128 wounded, 22687 missing, 16615 prisoners of war. Philippine campaign shows 31610 casualties with 1273 killed 1746 wounded 17939 missing 10652 prisoners. North African costs 18736 casualties 2574 killed 9734 wounded 1620 missing 5107 captured.
