Wayne C. Neville, a veteran mail pilot for National Air Transport, Inc., died when his plane crashed near Lebo Kansas. Neville had flown the Dallas to Kansas City route since the line began and was considered among the best on the Kansas City Dallas corridor. He lived in Dallas and recently moved to Chickasha Oklahoma where his wife, also a skilled pilot, once ran a flying circus with him.
Washington June 22 district of columbia held its first triple execution since the Lincoln conspirators. Nicholas Eagles 32 Samuel Moreno 20 and John Proctor 19 were executed for the murder of policeman Leo Busch during a robbery attempt at the district electric chair with Eagles singing a lament and Moreno kissing a cross before death and Proctor brought in on a stretcher unconscious.
Captain Emilio Carranza Mexican goodwill flyer landed at Mitchel Field at 8 22 a m Eastern Daylight Time after a flight from Lowell Massachusetts where he took part in the opening of an airport yesterday He was accompanied by two army planes and will fly to West Point tomorrow.

Watts Gunn of Atlanta defeated Fred Lamprecht of New Orleans 5 and conceded each other a short putt for a half on the fourteenth green in the quarter finals of the Southwestern amateur golf championship at Brook Hollow Club Dallas. Gunn will face L R Robertson or Lanham Connor in the 18 hole semi finals.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion began a membership drive this morning to raise the unit to 500 members. Plans for a large delegation of auxiliary wives to attend the national convention in San Antonio in October are being made by Sgt. Ira C. Barend.
Governor Alfred E. Smith reiterates he favors changing the prohibition law and will push for an amendment if elected president.
