Bruno Hauptmann’s Last Appeal Underway
Trenton New Jersey June 21 The defense for Bruno Richard Hauptmann prepared its final attack on his murder conviction in the Lindbergh baby case. In 20 days the state court of errors and appeals will review the last plea. Hauptmann could still seek clemency from the governor or commutation to imprisonment. Justices will begin consideration of arguments and a decision is not expected before September or later.
