Camp Kiwanis closes first session of Girl Scout camp
The first encampment at Camp Kiwanis ended Wednesday with 55 Amarillo Girl Scout members breaking camp. Over two weeks more than 106 girls participated under Miss Daffin Lowrey and the local scout committee. Improvements included eight stone cabins and a new mess hall funded by Reconstruction Finance Corporation.
