George B. Hill announces the final Democratic primary candidate list for the county as filing closed Saturday June 16. Voters 21 and older must meet poll tax and will vote July 28 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The ballot order is set for the official ballot.
The City Development Recreational Committee led by Lawrence Nobles plans a summer program for children ages 3 to 12. Mrs. Vernon Hogan will supervise, teaching drills, pantomimes, and body building while using Shakespeare plays in instruction. Classes will run mornings and afternoons with classroom work at the Municipal auditorium at midday.
Mabel Boll and her crew, after announcing abandonment of their proposed trans Atlantic flight, hesitated following a telephone talk with Charles A. Levine of the Columbia. They planned further calls to New York and would decide soon whether to proceed to Europe or return to New York from Harbor Grace near St Johns.Oliver C. Le Boutillier and Miss Bell discussed the prior decision and awaited a final verdict today with Arthur Argles.
Thirteen short term federal prisoners were released this evening from Potter county jail after thirty day sentences in the federal court session. Most were convicted for violation of the national prohibition act with thirty day terms and fines.

John Goetz a 44 year old cement contractor of 1002 Woeat Sixth street may have died by foul play or suicide. Justice of the Peace G Landis said he could not decide after investigation. General Umberto Nobile and five aides remain on the drifting ice near Spitzbergen as relief planes miss their position yet again. Capt Riiser Larsen and Lieut Leutzow-Holm flew within two kilometers of the camp but did not sight the group. The fliers did see Nobile who radioed back that he saw them as well.
Amarillo city officials weigh selling or trading surplus land near North Fillmore and adjacent water plant tracts to fund a Class A air field. Mayor Lee Bivins says options include selling land to finance another site or issuing bonds for the airport, with parks as a potential alternate use.
Mike May of Colona near M OA was carried in a wicker coffin basket after being found roadside apparently dead. He sat up as the hearse drove to the morgue and began swearing in a startling incident reported June 19.
Boyd Jones a 14 year old on Mol ly from New Mexico rides toward Washington to invite President Coolidge to an inter tribal Indian ceremonial in Gallup. His mother Mrs Manson Jones supports the trip and wishes him luck as he passes Amarillo arriving next Sunday.
