Child May Die After Smashup Near Amarillo
A morning highway crash near Pullman Switch southeast of Amarillo injures six people including six year old Jimmy Welborn who is in critical condition. The Welborn family traveling to Wichita Falls with relatives were in a collision with a grain truck driven by Harold Lee Erwin. Other injured include Roy and Paul Welborn in critical condition and Dolores, Leroy, and Don Allen Welborn with varying injuries. The wreck, at the Claude highway intersection, left the car’s front demolished and the truck with a large grain bin. The victims were taken to St Anthonys Hospital.
