Amarillo Hosts Fire Chiefs Convention Farewell Praise
Chief George B. Cooper thanked Amarillo fire department and citizens for a successful annual meeting. Delegates said the convention was among the best with fine auditorium programs and warm hospitality. Retiring SF&A president Lewis Haynes praised the royal entertainment. Firefighters looked exhausted after hosting and battling a three fatality blaze at the convention start.
