The New Bedford dragger IT docked at the fish pier after Captain Fred Surrette spoke for the crew. Seaman William Mayo 50 dropped his false teeth while dragging groundfish 50 miles off Cape Cod. The teeth were recovered in a 10 pound cod during net cleaning Tuesday.

Robbery and assault chase ends with suspect captured

In 1936 Mr. King was forced at gunpoint into his car by youth Fogg who ordered him to drive across the city toward Llano Cemetery. King fought back, the gun failed to fire, and Fogg fled after beating him. Fogg was later captured in Liberal, Kansas, with King’s watch money and valuables taken.

Two-Gun Surrenders After Standoff in Texas

Two-Gun phoned police to report the youth's actions arousing suspicion. Fogg surrendered meekly after a year in reform school. He had claimed toughness a year and a half earlier but said he lacked guts to use his pistol. Parole efforts failed. officials urged release but the court did not recommend. Convicted in 1937 in Can yon 47th district court. Officials had sought him in a prior escape and noted clothing purchases in Amarillo.

Kidnaper Atkinson Sentenced Under Heavy Guard

The court at 10 A M saw Kidnaper Atkinson, escorted by guards, stand mute as the judge warned spectators to refrain from applause or disapproval. The death sentence was pronounced amid solemn proceedings.
