Paris report says vengeful terrorism by followers of Captain Roehm targets Nazi officials in Germany. A Roehm Racher group allegedly issued warnings to Hitler, with SS and SA bodies found bearing RR initials in isolated sites as Nazi officials dismissed the dispatch.
About two and a half billion dollars in bonus bonds are to be delivered to veterans tonight with five oclock as zero hour. Post Office forces will start the final push to pay the bonus and bonds will be mailed or available at general delivery between six and eight with identification. Two cash banks will operate for odd checks under fifty dollars at John B. Golding Post and the American Legion Legion Home. Six million dollars in Amarillo territory is to be released as bonds are cashed and circulated.
Gov Alf Landon stresses the American way of tackling unemployment and business uncertainty through education and debate in and out of Congress. He supports research minds but opposes making researchers administrators and hints at campaign strategy linked to the GOP platform. Borah questions Landon’s interpretive stance.

H F Mitchell died at St Anthony's Hospital at 76, nine days after illness, a Panhandle pioneer who rode broomtail ponies from Nebraska to Palo Duro Canyon as a youth and later managed the LIT Ranch and Frying Pan Ranch before joining Matador Land and Cattle Company. He was born in Indiana and died in the Texas Panhandle.
Bankers from national financial centers have gathered to form the advance guard for the Panhandle Bankers Association annual convention. J C Front of Chase, Norris Broaddus of Kansas City, and J R Byrot of Tulsa arrived. The two day event expects hundreds of delegates with DeLea Vickers of Pampa as president and Thomas E Noel of Memphis and J Ross Noland of Tulsa as vice presidents. A full one day program is set at the Crystal Ballroom of the Herring Hotel starting at 9:45 A.M.

Five Long Beach residents were arrested after detectives used a hidden radio to assemble evidence. Suspects Harold Jenkins Alta Jenkins Elton Miner faced grand theft and related charges. William Bone and Martin Biggs were held on mayhem and grand theft suspicions. Evidence shows a punctured tire at a May 9 accident as part of the scheme.

Tropical storm from the gulf knocks out a telephone line to Bonita Springs as heavy rain soaks South Florida. Rescue teams start from Fort Myers while advisory notices say the hurricane may bring floods with rivers rising, threatening Fort Myers and nearby areas.
Amarillo leader Hugh F. Exum, former vice chairman of the Texas GOP delegation, urged support for Kansas Governor Alf Landon from all ballots. Exum praised Landon as a practical, tax cutting, budget balancing candidate with deep constitutional respect, calling the convention harmonious and spirited.
